Scott Windelburn joined Audi dealers at the 2026 Audi Partner Convention in Gran Canaria. Over two days he drove the new range, did hot laps in the RS 5 and heard about Audi's plans for the Australasian market.
I was fortunate enough to recently travel to Gran Canaria, Spain, alongside a group of Audi business owners and Dealer Principals to attend the 2026 Audi Partner Convention.
While the trip was a brief two-day visit, it provided an exciting opportunity to experience first-hand what the future holds for the Audi brand.
The first day was dedicated to a product range driving experience, where I had the privilege of getting behind the wheel of some impressive vehicles, including the Q7, Q9, A6 allroad and the all-new A2 e-tron. Each offered its own unique blend of performance, innovation and refinement. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t also mention the adrenaline-filled hot laps we experienced on a closed circuit in the RS 5, which certainly showcased Audi’s performance DNA at its finest.
Every vehicle left me stepping out with a smile on my face and an even greater sense of excitement about the direction Audi is heading. The balance of technology, design, electrification and driving enjoyment was evident throughout the range.
Day two shifted focus from products to strategy, providing valuable insight into Audi AG’s vision for the years ahead and the significant investment and commitment being made to support the global dealer network. What was particularly encouraging was the importance placed on the Australasian market. It was refreshing to see first-hand the value Audi continues to place on our region and its customers.
I returned to Auckland with renewed confidence in the future of the Audi brand and great enthusiasm for what’s still to come. There are some exciting developments on the horizon, and I look forward to sharing more with you as they arrive.
