Continental Cars Audi is proud to be sponsoring this years Woodhill Sands show jumping event "World Cup Final", which will be held in the 13th -15th of Jan.
Show jumpers from all over the world will be showing their skills at the upcoming national event at Woodhill Sands from January 13.
Over 500 horses are expected to compete in four arenas over the three days, organiser Show Jumping Waitemata said in a press release.
British course designer Peter Gillespie has created the track for the arena. With 34 years of experience, he has worked in the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia creating 20 top-level tracks, Show Jumping Waitemata says. Over the course of the three days, classes to watch include the 1m Pony Grand Prix on January 13 and the Maxlife Pony Grand Prix on January 14.
The first two rounds of the new Continental Cars Audi New Zealand Championship Series, which runs from 1 metre through to 1.3m height classes across five divisions, will be held at the show. The remaining rounds are held in February and March. The World Cup final is well known for its international flair and is widely recognised for the dressing of arenas at the annual show, the organiser says.
Hundreds of spectators are expected and can bring picnics or buy food and drinks on site. It’s free to enter, and spectators are welcomed but leave your dog at home. The event takes place from January 13-15 at Woodhill Sands Equestrian Centre.
