Convertible without compromise
When life calls you to a sports car, the BMW M4 Convertible will answer that call with bells on. With enough power to give you a 250kph blow dry, it is a vehicle that changes the rules for convertibles. While it’s heavier than the M4 Coupe, with all the extra bracing that convertibles require, you’ll barely notice a difference in acceleration. And the delicious growl of the engine says this car is pure M.
The long wheelbase and stretched bonnet exude sportiness, as does the wedge-shaped silhouette. Flared overhangs create an exciting dynamism and an engaging interplay of light and shadow accentuates the vehicle’s muscular shoulders. This is a convertible that raises pulse rates, even before it leaves the curb.
As with all BMWs, the M4 Convertible comes with sat-nav, a reversing camera and a reassuring five-year warranty.Book your test drive Ask a question
The M4 Convertible raises the roof on performance and luxury. It gives you all the pleasure of fresh-air driving, but without the power compromise that often comes with top-down driving.
You have 317 kilowatts at your command, delivered through the M TwinPower turbo straight 6-cylinder petrol engine. And t keep your ride tuned to the conditions, you have a choice of three suspension settings. Comfort mode is for everyday driving, and also increases safety if you need to swerve suddenly. In Sport mode, dampening is reduced and contact with the road is more direct – great for country roads and uneven race tracks. Sport+ mode offers maximum driving dynamics and pleasure on level roads and racetracks.
Touch a button and the four windows drop, the roof unlatches itself, and then the front panel of the roof moves back until it’s snuggled against the section that’s normally above the rear passengers. The rear section levitates to lie above it. Then the boot lid opens, hinged from the back, and the metal and glass sandwich motors into the top of the boot cavity. To get to things stowed in your boot, press another button and the entire boot-lid rises vertically, then the roof sandwich rises to follow. It’s all done by a set of electro-hydraulic actuators.
